Giving in to temptation
should make us want to barf

"-for a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning. It would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than to have known it and then to turn their backs on the sacred command that was passed on to them. Of them the proverbs are true:
"A dog returns to its vomit,"and, "A sow that is
washed goes back to her wallowing in the mud."~2 Peter 17b-22

Dear Jesus,

Why is it that I do what I don't want to
And I don't do what I wish I would?
Why- even though You saved me, do I return to my old, selfish, short-sighted, sinful ways?

Please forgive me, please help me to genuinely repent.
Remind me that thanks to You and through you,
I am a man, not a dog.

I love you and want to serve you, and only you.
And as long as You're at it, please do something about my bad breath.

In Your name (and I meant no disrespect, just hoping to give you a laugh)

Amen

Remember friends- we're all like that dog sometimes. The best we can hope is that our Shepherd still wants us to be His sheep-dogs. And yes, He does have a sense of humor- just not all Christians do.

Me ka pule,
Ted
